Maria Lopez has focused her practice exclusively on social security disability litigation for the last five years. She enjoys building a strong connection with her clients throughout the claims process and advocating for them at hearings. She is a member of the Mecklenburg County Bar, North Carolina Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Ms. Lopez is a longtime supporter of the American Red Cross as well as Project Alive and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Ms. Lopez received her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and her law degree from Charlotte School of Law where she worked as a judicial extern for Union County Superior Court and as a student attorney with the Iredell County District Attorney’s Office. While in law school, she also worked at the Mecklenburg County Self Serve Center where she conducted clinics for pro-se litigants.
Ms. Lopez strives to help clients feel well informed and ease throughout the claims process. She is a passionate representative and will do everything she can to receive the best possible outcome for her clients.
